Annabell and Maeve
Maeve was walking all over the place at the DSAM breakfast. Annabell was great about following and helping me keep track of Maeve
Sara and Cecelia
DSAM had a Sunday breakfast, so we got to see many of our friends.
So our present dining table...
... is the kiddie table. Cecelia is very upset about it.
Redoing our pantry
We were about to finally put a door in our pantry, when I suggested to Janet we redo the shelves in them. The shelves we originally got were 12" deep, and she passed on the deeper 20" shelves. She's regretted it ever since, and knowing it would be much harder to redo them with a door in the door way, I offered to redo them now.
So our dining table is our pantry presently.

A feline theme
Maeve was a tiger... she had a bit of trouble seeing out of her hood.
Cecelia Wednesday
A day early, but a cute face shot that can't be missed. Cecelia was a lion for Halloween.
Princess Cecelia
A dragon can be a princess! (or was she a dinosaur?)
Princess Maeve
A pumpkin can be a princess!
At Abbi's birthday party
It was a costume party so Janet was a witch, I was a farming dragon, Cecelia a dinosour, and Maeve a pumpkin.
Maeve sleeps
Curled up like... well like Cecelia

Cecelia goes up the stairs
She's been working on it for a couple weeks now, and is fairly competent now.

Cousins
On the Carousel
Maeve's first time with Grace and Jenny.
Grace adds a hat
note the pig tails.
Jackson's creation
It's my birthday suit
Jenny shows off her gift to Cecelia (the outfit)
Jackson and I plot our next move
We went through the corn maze. This was great, as Jackson has discovered and really enjoyed mazes recently. It was fun!
Ever heard of snow angels?
Well Bruce and Ella invent corn angels!
Maeve and Grace sit in some corn
Well... what else are you going to do in it?
Bruce isn't lost
it's just a kids haystack maze
Jackson is a scarecrow
Putting hats on little girls is a new one for daddy

The girls pose
The chairs they are sitting on are from Janet's childhood. Max and Emily used them when they were little, then Grace and Jackson, and now our girls. Tim Andersen refinished them - they are sturdy and gorgeous!
Cecelia Wednesday
Getting to be so big!
Velma Denenny
We also stopped at Velma's grave for a short visit.
John and Cecelia Denenny
On Tuesday, we finally took Merrills remains and interned them at the Fort Snelling Cemetary. It was a nice service. We also made a couple other stops, like here at his parent's grave in Osseo.
They died in 61 and '68. Apparently Merrill never had them put the year of death for his father. We have taken step to correct this soon.

Our little bride
Cecelia tries out some headware.
Collecting pinecones
When not roasting marshmellow, Ella showed Maeve the intricacies of finding pinecones. Maeve thought they tasted great!
Liking the campfire
Mom and Maeve enjoy a treat. Maeve indicates she would like 'some more'.
"Not too close to the fire Maeve!"
Grandpa with the nieces
Enjoying some Gopher hockey
Janet's friend had tickets she couldn't use, so we took the girls to Mariucci Arena. They girls did great!
Some of the white stuff
It collected for a day on the deck last week. I suppose it's too late to save the geranium....

Sometimes you just need to let them roam in diapers...
After the game...
... the were no hard feels, and hot dogs to eat.
Maeve and Avae survey the field
and think "I can't believe I'm related to those people"
Chad feels like he's been weighed down...
and it wasn't the pancakes.
Chad and Logan survey the field
and think, "Let's kick the ball to Mom!"
Shawna surveys the field
and thinks "Please don't kick the ball to me!"
George surveys the field
and thinks "You know... I might enjoy a hot dog on my attenae this afternoon"
Cecelia kicks the ball
She did great with all the action.
Maeve on her 2nd try at kicking the ball
The first time I did it with her, and she cried the whole time... Grandma was gentler with her I guess.
The purple team lines up to kick.
And red is on the field.
Enjoying some pancakes
Just like how Great Grandma Linkert made them!
Linkert pancake breakfast
It was always a Saturday morning when you could go to my Grandma and Grandpa Linkert's house, find some other Linkert's, and sit down and enjoy my Grandma pancakes. A very treasured memory for all of us. Since we got the cookbook my cousin Sherry put together last Spring, I thought it would be really fun to invite the Linkert's out, and Janet and I discussed doing it for the last few months.
Sara came up with the idea of a Kickball game, and since we live across the street from the park, it made sense to have it at our place, and tie the kickball game, and pancake breakfast together.
Everyone had a lot of fun.

Coming back to dad
She has loved crawling in the leaves... it's too bad it's getting too cold for this sort of thing now.
Dad and 'lia
If Maeve wants to explore, we can get some pictures of ourselves!
Maeve checks out the landing

Enjoying a nice Fall day... one of the last.

DSAM Buddy Walk - our whole group
We really enjoyed having so many of our relatives out to walk with us! Thank you to all of you!!
Burfeinds at the Buddy Walk
The hard work on the shirts really paid off! It was fun to see everyone sporting "super" Team Hero shirts. Thanks for your expertise on how to make them Aunty Sara!
Grandma and Grandpa
We were so thankful they took the girls over while we were involved in playing for the marathon. Thanks for stepping in and helping all weekend!
Daddy and Maeve
Daddy is still wearing his Seward band shirt from the morning's playing gig at the marathon, but don't worry, by the time we walked, he had the right shirt on! Go Team Hero!!!
Not exactly like captaining it yourself, but for now it will do!
Until we get a boat of our own, (functioning and in the water) we will take every opportunity to get out on the lake. This was a win at the Alumni Band silent auction last winter.
Lots of amazing homes on the lake!
Our captain knew who owned all the impressive homes (except ours!). This one was owned by a guy who had the patent for the color copier. He owns a home EXACTLY like it in Arizona, that way he feels "at home" no matter where he is!
Sunny day for a boat ride!
We were fortunate to have great weather (if a little cool) the day we went out on a cruise with friends Carolyn and Ron from the Alumni Band.
Sisters playing together
It is so fun to watch them do something "together". Here they are both standing, and involved with the play table.
Cecelia Wednesday
... for September 20.
Linkerts at Lake Harriet
We had a nice family outing to Lake Harriet to hear the Minnesota Orchestra play an appreciation concert for its enthusiasts! We really couldn't pass up a free opportunity to hear them! The weather was a bit overcast, but that didn't prevent a very large crowd from doing the same as us.
Maeve and Mommy
We had such a nice afternoon! Even the long walk from where we parked didn't get us down. We only wished we'd gotten to the concert sooner (had to wait until naps were taken).. we'll do better next year!
Our smiley girl!
Celia is getting such a sweet personality, especially when she is well-rested... but then aren't we all sweet when we've had enough sleep?!?
Maeve enjoys the orchestra!
Doesn't she look so "impish"? She really loves the music!!
