Maeve Gets Around
Maeve uses the push stroller
for the first time today, and she just took off! Went clear across the room several times!
Bouncing in the saucer
This has become a favorite place for Cecelia. She can stand, bounce, Maeve often comes over to interact with her. She can see me as I chase after Maeve or do other tasks.
I just loved her hair
and had to take a picture to share.
Cecelia eating...
But not with a fork yet. She has been doing real good with solids, and has enjoyed Rice, and Barley, and anticipating Oatmeal tommorrow.
Dad and 'lia at the Arcade
She sees a ride she wants to try.
Maeve and Mom
Maeve ended up getting a bit of a cold on Monday, and was quite content to be in Mommy's arms
Old nursery school pal
Ran into an old friend, Linda Schmitbauer (formerly Merwin), at Chuck E. Cheese. Linda and I go way back... from days at Nursery school, and our moms carpooled. In High School, we were both in the band, and very good friends. It was nice to see her.
Avae turns 2
We went to Chuck E. Cheese for Avae's 2nd birthday. It's her favorite place... and just let me say now that Avae is my favorite niece... until another niece picks Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday party.
Pretty little angel eyes
Grandpa and the girls
Hanging out after Avae's birthday party Saturday. It was a nice afternoon and the kids had fun.
Annual Derby affair
Every year a group of my friends and I like to go out to the Dakota County Demolition Derby. We have a great time! This year did not disappoint, with a car getting flipped over onto it's roof!

Camera issues
I'm afraid our camera is having some issues (if you look at the last set of pics, you'll see all the distortion lines). Hopefully we'll have it corrected soon.

I like it up here!
It's a great view from mommy's shoulders!
Cecelia takes a break
From the rigors of the beach.
Emily and Ella
try their hand at sand castles.
Enjoying the cool water
Cecelia tries a bit of floating.
A little push from her cousin
Maeve tools around with Ella's help.
Testing the waters...
Avae enjoyed herself. we enjoyed her hat.
When we said try the beach Maeve...
we didn't mean in your mouth.

Max swims at the dock
Yes... this is our dock... the one surrounded with weeds and lillypads. He just _had_ to go swimming. He found an open spot, and jumped in. We speculate that the last person to swim here would've been 20 years ago.
Feeding the ducks and fish
After we ate, Max, Emily and I went to feed the ducks bread. You can't see in the picture, but there are a ton of fish below them eating some of the bread, including huge, ugly carp.
We like our Aunt and Cousin!
Out for a bite to eat
When to Maynards in Excelsior for a late lunch after the Andersen's flew in from NY.
Cecelia, meet Emily
Max and Emily loved seeing the baby and Maeve. They are great cousins!
Waiting for the Andersens
Their outfils make clear who is the big sister, and little sister.
We are having the Andersen's (Janet's sister's family) in for the weekend.

Maeve's Manners
Maeve's side of the bedroom
To refresh your memory
Cecelia's side...
Now with her name up, and some of her wall hangings.
Maeve in one of her favorite activities
Emptying the sock basket. She's very good at it!
Cecelia sitting better!
Though right after I took this pick, she fell back, hit her head kinda hard, and cried for several minutes. I felt bad.
The girls at lunch
Where's dad sitting?
The girls play
They make each other laugh sometimes... I haven't been able to get it on film yet.

Nice baby
Maeve likes to pat the baby.... she is a great sister for Cecelia.
Mommy's home!
After a long weekend with daddy, mommy came home to two very tired girls.
Successful website move...
OK... it appears that the transfer has succeeded, and you probably haven't noticed. Our ISP changed a couple months ago, and I had until early September to move our stuff from tcq.net to frontiernet.net.
The main thing to remember is that wherever you are... linkert.name should bring you to our website.
If you have us bookmarked, you should update it to linkert.name, or the address above. If you don't, at some point in the coming months, you will come to a blank page that says unrecognized, or missing or something. Then you'll have to figure it out yourself (or call me)
Thank you for your patience... if you notice something odd or funny... I mean as far as this webpage goes... let me know.

test
working on my blog...
... still working
Just to let you know... I need to move my blog in the next couple weeks. The address you need to remember is www.linkert.name... so if your bookmark fails to load this page, try typing that in your address bar, it will probably work.

The girls and I are by ourselves...
I'm starting with what _NOT_ to do...
I've also read on the internets that hanging the baby off the balcony is not safe... sigh, there go our Friday night plans...
Thank you!
For the music fans...
A video of a festival of "Vintage Music" in Northfield... the first group I believe is my old Concordia Band director's brass group, and later in the video, the old fashioned quintet is playing a piece my quintet is working up.

Ah what the heck! Here's another video
This is from our freinds, the Bremers, who are a part of our Minnetonka Down Syndrome parent group. Their son John, who has Down Syndrome, has also been fighting Leukmia for more than a year. This struggle has really been tough for them and some of John's gross motor development (especially walking) has been delayed. He has finally started walking this last month, and Ann put some video up showing his new trick... hopefully foreshadowing a day soon of Maeve...
John Bremer's Caring Bridge Website, to hear more about their story... the Thursday June 27 entry in the journal is when the big moment happened, and a must read.

Maeve and the Wind
There's just been too many videos of Cecelia lately... here's a fun one of Maeve we took today.
Making new friends
We met the Villamil's Monday. They are a couple in Mound who just had baby, Isabella! Isabella was born with Down Syndrome, we wanted to visit and share experiences... we had a great time! She and her mom, Fran are doing great... dad too! We can't wait to see them again soon.
